On January 21, 2025, amidst a cold winter day, the NeoVoce Philharmonic Choir's charity performance team brought warmth and joy to Halton Community Housing in Burlington with a festive cultural feast for the elderly residents.
With the theme "Chinese New Year Charity Performance," the event was hosted by Zhang Li and Jennifer, who skillfully delivered lively bilingual introductions in both Chinese and English, seamlessly connecting each program and creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.

The performance featured a rich variety of programs, which were well-received by the audience:
Professional Dance Performances: Yu showcased graceful and professional solo dances, earning rounds of applause. Yu also captivated the audience with her original song "A Lovely Family," a violin solo, and a dance performance, demonstrating her exceptional versatility.
Traditional Music Performances: Chen Jing's captivating hulusi (a traditional Chinese wind instrument) solo drew the audience into the music, inspiring some to dance along.
Vocal Performances: Choir leader Li Xiaodong and Zhu Juan delivered soulful solo performances while also leading the audience in participatory group singing, creating a joyful climax for the event.
Tai Chi Demonstrations: Lin Tong performed Tai Chi routines, including swordplay and the Eight Pieces of Brocade (Ba Duan Jin), which were highly praised by the audience and highlighted the beauty of traditional Chinese culture.
Interactive Activities: At the end of the performance, Chen Jing warmly distributed small Chinese New Year gifts to the elderly, spreading festive blessings and bringing smiles to everyone.

Event Coordination: Zhu Juan, as the overall coordinator, managed every detail of the event, addressing last-minute changes and organizing transportation for members without vehicles.
Program Planning and Rehearsals: Li Xiaodong provided multiple rehearsal venues to ensure high-quality performances. Zhang Yixin maintained communication with the organizer and participated in rehearsals and the performance despite being unwell.
Technical Support and Photography: Gordon spent significant time preparing the accompaniment music. Cao Jin handled videography and photography throughout the event, capturing precious memories.
