On May 23, 2026, members of the NeoVoce Philharmonic Choir participated in the opening ceremony performance of the China Pavilion at the Carassauga Festival in Mississauga. Despite the rainy weather, choir members arrived with enthusiasm and delivered a memorable performance that added warmth and vibrancy to the event.
The choir's women's ensemble presented two contrasting and expressive works: Jinse (The Brocade Zither) and Beautiful Village. Jinse featured elegant melodies and poetic musical language inspired by classical Chinese culture, while Beautiful Village brought a lively and joyful atmosphere with its vibrant folk character and celebration of community life. The performances showcased the singers’ musical artistry and stage presence, earning warm applause from the audience.
Carassauga is one of Canada's largest multicultural festivals, bringing together communities from around the world to celebrate cultural diversity. As part of the China Pavilion's opening program, NeoVoce Philharmonic Choir was proud to share the beauty of Chinese choral music with audiences of diverse cultural backgrounds, fostering cultural exchange and mutual understanding through the universal language of music.
Rain could not dampen the spirit of the performers or the audience. NeoVoce Philharmonic Choir remains committed to connecting cultures through music and enriching the community through artistic excellence and volunteer service.
